Savane des Esclaves is located in the countryside of Trois-Ilets, La Ferme neighborhood in Martinique. In a park of 3 hectares, 400 years of history of Martinique to discover: reconstitution of a Native American village, visit the Rue Case-Nègres illustrating the way of life of slaves on the houses, and finally way of life of the inhabitants campaigns after the abolition until 1960. 20 traditional huts, 26 bilingual panels, a Creole garden and a medicinal garden are to discover with your guide and to supplement then in autonomy. THE VISIT IS GUIDED for a better transmission of the history and the traditions, the reconstituted village was created by Gilbert Larose, a martiniquais enthusiast of history, who conceived this park and the visit by duty of memory to allow everyone to delve into the history and traditions of Martinique.
