  • The NHCS was established in 1980 to conserve the natural, cultural and historic fabric of the Island of Nevis and her surrounding sea for all its people. Since its inception, the NHCS has established two museums: The Alexander Hamilton Museum at the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, the First Secretary of the United States Treasury and the Museum of Nevis History Including the Horatio Nelson Collection, formerly known as the Nelson Museum.
