    The 21 hectare (5.18 acres) Rene Payet Veuve Reserve was opened in 1982 in La Digue, Seychelles as a special reserve to protect wildlife habitat and plant species. It also serves as a breeding and feeding habitat for rare endemic birds including the  Seychelles Black Paradise Flycatcher. Local and international visitors can hike the nature trail and watch birds in the reserve from 8am – 4pm.
