The National Gallery of Jamaica in Kingston is the oldest and largest public art museum in the English-speaking Caribbean. It was established in 1974 and features an expertly curated collection of early, modern and contemporary Jamaican art along with featured art from other Caribbean islands and other international holdings. The Gallery has an active exhibition program, guest-curated exhibitions, thematic exhibitions, guided tours, and educational programs. Its western branch–National Gallery West–is located in the Montego Bay Cultural Centre.
