Calabash International Literary Festival is a biennial festival held in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. Founded in 2001 by Jamaican novelist Colin Channer and poet Kwame Dawes, the festival has been lauded by The New York Times as a “world class literary festival” and by Vogue Magazine as the “island’s best kept secret.” Speakers featured in previous festivals include award-winning authors Zadie Smith, Marlon James, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Salman Rushdie.
